Our program gives you the space to explore different pathways and build confidence with the support of people who’ve been right where you are.

What to expect from day one
This isn’t your average new grad program. We’ve designed it to help you hit the ground running, build confidence, and feel supported every step of the way.

What to expect during your graduate year at Ignite
Your first couple of weeks are all about feeling comfortable and supported.
You’ll spend time meeting your hub, getting to know your supervisor and team manager, and connecting with other graduates who are starting alongside you. You’ll also be introduced to what it means to be an Igniter – our values, our culture, and how we work together.
Clinically, you’ll begin building confidence through shadowing sessions, reviewing case studies, and completing a mix of on-demand and in-person learning. This stage is about learning safely, asking questions freely, and easing into practice at a pace that makes sense.
By weeks 3–4, you’ll start putting your learning into action.
You’ll begin building your caseload gradually, with plenty of guidance as you ease into your clinical work. Nothing is rushed, and you’re never expected to know everything straight away.
You’ll be supported through scheduled check-ins, regular supervision, and day-to-day support from your supervisor, team manager, and the Clinical Excellence Team. You’re encouraged to ask questions, reflect, and keep learning… because growth is expected, not perfection.
Around this stage, things start to feel more familiar.
By weeks 5–8, you’ll be settling into your hub, building confidence in your sessions, and feeling more connected to your team. You’ll continue developing your clinical skills while also getting more comfortable with the practical side of the role.
Support remains constant, whether it’s clinical guidance, admin questions, or simply talking something through. You’re part of the Ignite team now, and you’re supported as you find your own rhythm.
As your confidence grows, you may start to notice particular clinical interests emerging.
Some graduates choose to explore these areas further with the support of their supervisor, manager, and professional development budget. Others enjoy continuing as a generalist and building skills across a broad range of practice areas.
There’s no pressure to decide your path early. This stage is about curiosity, reflection, and supported exploration – with guidance to help you grow in a way that feels right for you.
The final stage of your graduate program is about looking ahead.
By now, you’re in the rhythm of regular hub meetings, participant sessions, supervision, and internal professional development. Alongside this, you’ll work with your team to create a personalised career plan that reflects your goals, strengths, and interests.
Professional development is tailored to support where you want to grow next… clinically, professionally, and personally. You’ve built a strong foundation, and this stage is about setting you up for what comes after.

Our application process
Our process is simple, transparent, and designed to help you feel confident every step of the way.
Step 1 - Apply online
Pop your details into the online form. We review every application carefully to understand your experience, your interests, and what you’re hoping for in your role.
Step 2 - A quick phone call
If it feels like a good fit, we’ll reach out for a short phone conversation. It’s a chance to get to know each other and make sure we’re heading in the right direction.
Step 3 - We'll meet in person
Next, you’ll join us for an in-person interview. You’ll meet some of the people you’d be working alongside and get a feel for what life at Ignite is really like.
Step 4 - Background checks
As things progress, we’ll complete the routine checks that come with any allied health role so everything’s set up well as we keep moving through the process.
Step 5 - Your offer
If it feels like the right fit, we’ll send through an offer with the essentials: your start date, your contract, and the hub you’ll be joining.
