What ignites my passion is making a big difference with sometimes just a few small adjustments, watching my clients progress and become more independent. I also thrive on building a strong connection with clients, communicating with a blend of straightforwardness and humour.

I value respect and culture; I believe it helps me connect with my clients better and understand their unique needs.
Client improvement and satisfaction are what truly ignite my passion, which is why I enjoy settings where significant progress can be made with appropriate clinical intervention. During my most recent placement in a hospital setting, I prescribed equipment and made simple home modifications for clients. Although these changes were straightforward, I was thrilled to see how they practically enhanced clients' daily lives.
I believe in exploring and empowering clients’ strength and identifying their limitations to enable them to regain independence at their desired level. I enjoy communicating and working with people, seeing my clients gradually developing their skills and confidence in their own capacity, is motivating me to be an Occupational Therapist.
Hi my name is Ebony! I am an Occupational therapist! Helping others achieve their goals gives me so much happiness and purpose in life and I am so grateful to be able to do this within my OT career. I love to sing, play guitar and connect to others with my songwriting and performances. I also love keeping active, exploring new places and hugging my two fluffy dogs.

My name is Sophie and I am an occupational therapist, working with both pediatrics and older adults. My motivation with becoming an OT stemmed from my grandpa (pappou) who inspired me to help others. When I am not at work, I enjoy doing Greek dancing with my dancing group and finding different cafes, drinking my soy latte’s.
I began to explore the community sector while still working in the aged care setting, gradually taking on more and more home care package clients.
As the demand for community clients increased, I decided to take on a full-time community role and remained working with elderly Aussie’s (HCP clients), where I formed a keen interest for AT & home modifications.
I love learning about and am interested in the areas of mental health and paediatrics. I find it interesting learning about my clients and using their interests in therapy. I enjoy reading, love animals and spending time in nature, so it would be awesome to have the opportunity to share these interests with my future clients
In terms of work, my passion is to see people living a fulfilling life. I am a purpose-driven and meaning-seeking person. Being able to attain functionality to “work” for age-appropriate task in life is equivalent to a purpose-driven and meaningful life.
Hey there! My name is Samantha 🙂 I am a positive thinking, animal and nature loving ambivert handling life one laugh at a time. During my free time, you will find me goofing around with my land cloud of a dog (Sudu) and wreaking havoc with my friends, either cooking up a storm or spending a weekend away.
My motiviation is sparked by striving for excellence and pushing the envelope to help my clients engage in their occupations and participate in the community
My journey as an occupational therapist began with witnessing the profound effect of illness and injury of a loved one that altered their relationship with previously meaningful activities, and their sense of identity. My passion lies in helping individuals with their ability to engage in occupations of meaning, and purpose for fulfillment in everyday life.
My passion as an occupational therapist is driven by the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on clients' lives by helping them regain independence and improve their quality of life. I enjoy collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and embracing new challenges in dynamic healthcare environments

What ignites my passion is having the opportunity to assist others and be a part of their journey to achieving their functional and personal communication and swallowing goals. I have a strong passion for supporting individuals with diverse communication and swallowing needs. I believe in the power of connecting with individuals on a personal level, understanding their unique experiences, and building a therapeutic relationship based on empathy and trust. By incorporating behavioural activation techniques, I aim to help individuals overcome barriers and engage in meaningful activities that promote well-being and fulfillment.
I enjoy learning about the reasons for peoples’ behaviour and what influences their behaviours. I love how the approaches for behaviours are evidenced-based and learning about the different style, approaches, assessments, interventions and strategies have been fascinating. Applying my knowledge and understanding of behaviour has been a joy especially when I see the positive changes for my clients.
My areas of interest are pediatrics, complex trauma and autism.

What ignited my passion for occupational therapy was my grandparents. I was fortunate enough to witness how an occupational therapist helped them live with meaning, instead of just surviving. I knew then that I wanted to be able to create that change for others. Seeing people be able to do things that they previously were not able to fuels my passion and gives me the motivation to keep doing what I’m doing.
What I enjoy most is seeing the progress and achievements of the people I work with—whether big or small—and knowing that my support plays a role in improving their lives. That’s what keeps me motivated and excited about this field!
Whenever I see other people happy, and I know that I've played a part in helping them achieve inner peace
and happiness, my inner passion is ignited. My areas of interest revolve around supporting independent living
and encouraging social interaction.

As IGNITE's leader, and as a practicing Physiotherapist myself, you are more than just a number to me. You are valued. You make change for the community we serve possible. You are our focus.
