Job Description

Due to our exciting growth, we are looking for an Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our team – this could be a wonderful opportunity for anyone interested in a dynamic and varied community setting with plenty of chances for career development!

As community Behaviour Support Practitioner, you will provide treatment to disabled, pediatric and elderly clients in their own environments.

You will work closely alongside a team of experienced Speech Pathologists, Physiotherapist Occupational Therapist and Psychologists, using a multi-disciplinary approach to care. You will be comfortable to work autonomously and manage your own flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a varied caseload of clients living in their own homes;
  • Maximise client functional capacity and evaluate their options for ongoing care as required;
  • Develop high quality and evidence-based treatment plans;
  • Complete progress notes and requested reports in a timely manner.

Job Requirement

  •  A tertiary qualification in Psychology, Applied Behaviour Analysis or Allied Health (Social Work, Speech Pathology or Occupational Therapy) with relevant professional registration/membership;
  • Minimum one years NDIS Behaviour Support experience;
  • Working knowledge of authorisation and reporting requirements for restrictive practices relevant to state or territory laws and policies;
  • Experience in conducting comprehensive behaviour assessments, and implementing and evaluating behavior support plans, including restrictive practice;
  • Up to date knowledge of the regulatory context and evidence-based practice;
  • Strong commitment to delivering an exceptional client experience
