Our Story: From Dream To Today
Ignite Healthcare was founded in 2018 with two Davids, a car boot crammed with physio gear, and one big dream: care should be personal, not one-size-fits-all. It was never about ticking boxes – it was about showing up, connecting, and actually making a difference.
Fast forward, and what started as a dream has grown into something incredible. Now, we’re an interdisciplinary community working across Melbourne and Brisbane, all driven by the same goal: care that’s as meaningful as it is impactful. Because at Ignite, it’s always been about people first – and that’s never changing.
Launched Ignite Healthcare
Co-founded by Melbourne physiotherapists, David Dinca and David Robin, Ignite Healthcare was launched in 2018 to enrich the lives of people in the community. Ignite holds a vision for inclusive care and supports promoting prolonged living in the community.
Introduced OT services
Ignite Healthcare understood the needs of its clientele and introduced Occupational Therapy as a coupling service to the physiotherapy stream.
Introduced Speech Pathology Services
Speech Pathology services were also added in early 2021 to the service offerings. Ignite Healthcare marked itself as a multidisciplinary leading mobile company in the industry.
Approved ECEI registration
Ignite Healthcare received its Early Childhood, Early Intervention (ECEI) registrations to service clients under the ages of 7 years. This allowed Ignite to be inclusive to all age groups.
Launched in Brisbane
The second Ignite Healthcare branch was opened for business in Brisbane in late December 2021. Three disciplines were added to the Brisbane portfolio: Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy & Speech Pathology.
Approved PBS registration
Ignite Healthcare began providing PBS services.
